Year 4

Welcome to Year 4's page all about the fantastic things that we are doing in 4G and 4C!

We have lots of exciting things happening this half term and will share them with you here.   

 Just a few reminders for the week:

PE is on a Tuesday afternoon - children to come to school in their PE kit. Please make sure they are wearing the correct kit. Earrings need to be removed by the child or before school, we are not allowed to help with this.

Homework has been set on edshed. There is a maths quiz and spelling games set to be completed every week. Children should know their logins and these have been sent home.

Please also make sure to be logging on to TT Rockstars. Playing the garage game will help you to learn your times tables.  This is a valuable tool to help the children learn their times tables as well as prepare them for the Multiplication Tables Check they will be taking in June. The soundcheck game mimics the real test. 

This week we are continuing to learn about Europe.

We are going to be learning about poetry. We are looking at narrative, rhyming and haikus. 

In maths we are continuing to think about decimals (tenths and hundredths) and linking this to adding and subtracting amounts of money.

In Science we are moving on to learning about teeth and how they are shaped for use.
