What have we been learning about this week?(20.06.25 - 27.06.25)
This week in Maths we have been continuing to learn about 2D shapes. We have been learning about symmetry in 2D shapes. In Literacy we have been continuing to look at persuassion and the different techniques we use to persuade people. We wrote a piece to persuade someone to visit a tourist attraction in Colchester.
In Geography we are continuing to learn about our European neighbours and this week we learnt about European national dishes. In Science we learnt about the different components we need to make a complete circuit. We built circuits using wires, switches, bulbs and buzzers.
On Tuesday 6 children attended the mayors presentation, for the schools in bloom project, at the town hall. We won 2 certificates for the work the children did based on minibeasts. We also received a goody bag of prizes for the school - the prizes included a goosberry bush, seeds, garden ornaments and gardeneing tools. The children met the mayor and had the opportunity to go out on to the balcony and look out over the High Street.
