Hazelmere Junior School

Behaviour

At Hazelmere Junior School, we have high expectations of behaviour in and around school, as well as the wider community. We encourage children to make the right choices, and we believe that positive behaviour is an essential condition for effective teaching and learning.

If you wish to read our Behaviour Policy, you will find it here:Policies

We reward and recognize good behaviour in and around the school.

Children can earn house points when they go above and beyond what is expected of them. Behaviour and attitude is also recognized in awards assemblies with our ‘Pick of the Week’ certificates.

We request that all families work with the school cooperatively and collaboratively in supporting children to make the right choices and behave appropriately. A joint effort allows for children to develop consistent behaviour attitudes both at home and in school.

Whilst most children behave appropriately, sometimes children behave in a way that does meet our expectations and when this happens sanctions are put in place. Detailed below are the clear steps we follow when dealing with incidents of misbehaviour.
